Marin Coastal Watersheds Permit Coordination Program
Proposed 2025-2026 Water Quality Projects
Public Comment Period: October 8, 2025 – November 12, 2025
Marin Resource Conservation District (MRCD) invites public comment on 9 projects adopted into the Marin Permit Coordination Program (PCP), an Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration. The PCP provides streamlined CEQA compliance for use of 53 conservation practices up to a certain scope in certain watersheds within Marin County by MRCD and their partners.
The proposed projects are focused on improving water quality by improving manure management and/or protecting against sediment runoff at dairies and lands supporting dairies within Stemple Creek and Drakes Bay watersheds. Written comments must be submitted to Gerhard Epke, Water Quality Program Manager, P.O. Box 1146, Point Reyes Station, CA 94956 or to gerhard@marinrcd.org on or before 5pm on November 11th 2025. The Marin RCD Board of Directors will consider public comments during their regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, November 12th, 2025. Your attendance and participation are welcome.
Marin RCD Board meetings are public and held at the Marin County Farm Bureau Conference Room at 520 Mesa Road, Point Reyes Station beginning at 9 am. They can also be joined remotely by zoom, with login information on the Marin RCD website here: https://www.marinrcd.org/programs/home2/board-meetings/ If no comments are received by the board meeting, then public comment period will automatically close.
Background:
When projects are adopted into the Marin Permit Coordination Program (PCP), an Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration, the Marin Resource Conservation District (RCD) invites public comment on the adoption of those projects into the PCP.
