Stream Projects
Marin RCD's stream projects often address a variety of concerns adjacent to (riparian areas) or within stream channels. Planting projects (riparian restoration) are typically completed in partnership with Point Blue Conservation Science Students and Teachers Restoring a Watershed (STRAW) Program. Livestock exclusion fencing is required for these projects to prevent erosion and sedimentation and protect the new plants. To learn more, visit their webpage.

Typically, projects in this category revegetate areas surrounding streams, help stop or reduce erosion in and around waterways, or otherwise alters a stream to provide livestock crossing or facilitate water passage. This may include livestock water crossings, earthmoving or engineering to stabilize slopes, planting projects, or installation of in-stream structures.
